Some are closely connected to my experience of the sea during my time as a ships officer, others are of the physical aspects of the sea while a few are about the changing nature. The majority were composed during my creative writing classes tutored by Debbie Tyler-Bennet a published poet. She has been a great motivator and constructive critic of my work.
