Poems About a Shepherd

By James Paulson

Poems About a Shepherd is a collection of Christian children's poetry inspired by Scripture and the loving care of the Good Shepherd.

Each poem invites the reader to see themselves through the eyes of a new perspective, a sheep, a friend, a mother sheep, a shepherd, a new lamb.

The Collection Includes:

The Confession of a Sheep
Discovering the peace and safety
of trusting the Shepherd.

Becoming His
Learning what it means
to belong and follow His voice.

The Shepherd Speaks
Hearing words of comfort, courage,
and unfailing love.

Even When You Close Your Eyes
Resting confidently because
the Shepherd never sleeps.

The Shepherd to the New Lamb
A gentle welcome
from the Shepherd to His newest little lamb.

The Confession of a New Lamb
Seeing the world for the first time and discovering
that the Shepherd has been there all along.

Perfect for Christian families, grandparents, homeschool classrooms, Sunday school, and bedtime reading, these watercolor poems are inspired by Psalm 23 and other beloved passages of Scripture, reminding every child that they are known, loved, and never alone.
