would be 5 stars, if I lived in France and had a giant pocket

I just purchased this dictionary to help with some language related issues as I just moved to Montreal, and french is not my first language. As for the quality of the translations, who knows? I am not a linguist. I like: 1) The largish print, very easy to read and find items. 2) So far has all of the words I am looking for I don't like: 1) The title says this edition is 'Pocket'. DO NOT BE FOOLED! It measures 7.5 x 5.25 x 2 inches. Instead of pocket, think slightly bigger than a paperback book you would buy in the airport. That said, I bought this edition at a bookstore, and knew what I was getting into. 2) There is a culture section, that is focused entirely on culture in France. Makes me worried that there will be a day when I will want to translate some Quebecois word/ cultural term and it will not be there. It is not a big issue, and I guess I should have bought something with a Quebec bend.
Excellent French to English Dictionary

I have taken French for the last sixteen years in school and therefore have also used a variety of French to English / English to French dictionaries. This is by far one of the best that I have seen. Not only does it contain over 90,000 words and phrases, it has sections on French culture, holidays, how to write proper letters, weights and measures, and numbers. The font is easy to read and the book is small enough to take to class. This book is an absolute MUST have for the college student.
