A selection of poems taken from the lived experiences of a family who have battled through the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system and came out the other side. Written with an aim to inform, support and empower the reader. The book covers topics that have been the real life experiences of the author and their family and so not only gives a real, raw account of the truth but also give suggestions for support in such situations. The author hopes that families reading the poetry will realise that they are not alone and can reach out when they need to. The author hopes that it may add further insight into family life for professionals reading the poetry. The book covers aspects of school, family life, local authorities, Law, disabilities and support networks.
