Play the cards you were dealt

There was a time in my life when I did not have a clue who God called me to be. Becoming a teen mom at a very young age was a recipe for a disastrous life. My mother tried to steer me down the right path but I had all the answers. Wrong answer. I had no idea what I was up against. I've faced abuse, sickness and rejection. I assessed the cards that were dealt to me. Some cards good, some bad. I had to analyze my life. Making the decision to take charge was life changing. You are your worst enemy. Truth be told many of the cards that I held I plucked them. All of the cards were not dealt to me. Even as an adult I continued to pick disastrous cards. Finally I made up my mind. At that moment I realized I had enough of the disastrous cards. I folded; I replaced the cards I plucked. I say to all teens, and adults remain focused. God has a plan for all of us. Just stay the course. You can win.
