An excellent book on Plant Anatomy.

As a botanist, I find that this book represent the most ever exist in field of plant anatomy and relation to function.

Excellent textbook

This book is a basic introductory textbook of plant anatomy for advanced undergraduate students. It is divided into 6 sections: subcellular anatomy, simple tissues, complex tissues, the primary vegetative body, the secondary plant body, and tissues and organs of sexual reproduction. Appendices include a glossary and extensive list of references. The book is amply illustrated with black-and-white photographs (too bad they weren't in color!) and diagrams. For such a technical textbook, the text is surprisingly easy to read. Mauseth goes beyond simple descriptions and enumerations of parts to explain how the various parts of plants and tissues work together. It's a pity the book is no longer in print--it makes an excellent text for a university-level plant anatomy course.
