The book is about the planning expertise of the prophet pbuh] of Islam. The author has extracted his planning skills from many aspects of his life. It is augmented with the case study of his Hijrah expedition that explains his knowledge as an expert in planning. He had planned and implemented it as one of the most important endeavors of his efforts to introduce Islam to the world. He had identified the opportunity, set the objectives, define planning premises (assumptions), determined the alternatives, compared them, choose the most promising one, formulate supporting plans and quantified the plan. He had implemented the plan successfully. The objective of the plan was to reach safely to Madinah to establish a base camp for the propagation of Islam in the world. He did it innovatively with minimum resources and time. He made many unique decisions during the process, kept motivated his colleague (s) and organized resources prudently. Most important he remained calm and determined under sever circumstances. He had also demonstrated many charismatic aspects of his leadership. Managers can learn his strategy and apply them in their planning and strategy development.
