Originating from Brondi, a crew chosen for celebrity status, spend decades of travel to visit an unknown system. Expecting at best a breathable atmosphere, they discover a massive Human civilization of twelve inhabited planets. They must adjust to the unexpected and forge new lives among the strange culture, where war substitutes for sport and a quasi religion of The Teacher creates superstitious dread for anything like them, from 'The Beyond'. Their own system is largely unaware of the discovery, but for a few with their own agenda. There are those who are not Human who feel the threat of a newly discovered mass of Humans needs to be addressed.
