A Revolutionary View of the Comos

McCanney has a gift for making complex topics easy to understand and puts them in a perspective that the layman can comprehend. But be prepared for a subject that will shatter many illusions in today's science. McCanney picks up where Vellikovsky leaves off in his masterpiece "Worlds In Collision" and details the intricate workings of the electrical nature of the universe. This book also explains the problem with Big Science today, in that his theories aren't even up for discussion in the halls of NASA or any other major institutions. I highly recommend this book, and even if you can't accept the message, at least it will make you think. However be prepared for a sobering look on past Earth changes and the impact they had on our ancestors. I have to second the earlier comment made about getting the book from the source. Go to [...] to get it from the author so you know you are getting the real deal.

Buyer Beware

This is a GREAT book. But, I strongly urge you to get the book directly from the source. Go to www.jmccanneyscience.com in order to make sure you are getting an un-altered version of the book. It doesn't cost much more if any than this price. This goes for all books and information from James McCanney. Also, I agree completely with Gaffney's and Fuestel's reviews. If you are interested in this topic, and unsure, all I can say is decide for yourself who is correct, and who might have a hidden agenda.

Intellectual Giants Stand Alone

I strongly second Mcgaffney's review of Mccanney's book. James Mccanney stands alone against the entire received wisdom of mainstream astronomy. Mccanney has self-published his theory in 4 books(...)James Mccanney, Immanuel Velikovsky and Zecharia Sitchen present the most compelling scientific viewpoints I have encountered since Dr. Myron Evans' Grand Unified field theory (...)They have transformed astronomy for me from a dull subject to a consuming interest.

Revolutionary! Not to be missed!

This book blew me away. I couldn't put it down. If James McCanney's Plasma Discharge comet model turns out to be correct, he will take his place alongside Copernicus, Kepler, and Newton as one of the truly great figures in science. There is no way to incrementally go from the current dirty snowball comet model to McCanney's model. His represents a complete break with mainstream thinking. A leap is required, and few astronomers so far have been willing or able to manage it. Both can't be correct. I have no way to prove it, but my gut tells me McCanney in the end will turn out to be right. This is a must read for anyone interested in astronomy or the past history and the future of our small planet. I recall back in 1996 when Art Bell brought the Hopi elders on Coast to Coast Am radio to talk about the coming earth changes. At the time, the comet Hale-Bopp was streaking across our skies. The elders warned that earth changes would soon begin. But I didn't understand what they were talking about until I encountered McCannney's work. The answer is that the Hopi Indians have been here, on the N American continent, longer than anyone -- for maybe 20-30,000 years -- and they've seen the big and medium sized comets come and go numerous times, including the occasional ones that cause horrific earth changes. We haven't seen such a comet in modern history, but one visited earth at the close of the Pleistocene, at around 11,600 BP, and nearly destoyed our planet. The Hopis were around at the time, and they recognized Hale-Bopp. They say it's the herald -- the comet that previously anounced the approach of the dangerous intruder that wrought destruction to earth the last time, in a former age. The Hopi traditions go back before the dawn of our western history. This book is not about the Hopis. But it provides the theoretical framework to explain all of this, and much more. McCanney is not a great writer. But his ideas are great, indeed, revolutionary, and they shine through. This is a key book that presents the missing piece of the puzzle, explaining so much about our world. Read it and you'll understand why McCanney is to the scientific establishment what Noam Chomsky is to the political establishment.
