Friendly and Practical

Man, this book is great! It is ultra-informative and incredibly detailed, covering everything from music suggestions and to-do lists to etiquette and budget. It answers every question one might have about how to throw a party - what to buy, who to invite, how to decorate - even how to clean up afterwards. The author's smart sense of humor and straight-forward advice makes the book really fun to read. The theme parties, games and recipe suggestions are varied enough to appeal to just about anyone. No matter who you are, there are great ideas in this book for you.

This book makes me want to throw a party!

Tamar Love's "Plan a Fabulous Party in No Time" is as fun as it is informative. This book takes you from deciding where and when to have the party, to how to plan for the party, to party manners to calling it a night. Don't know what to do for a wedding shower, costume party, or Labor Day picnic? Her creative party ideas will inspire you to put together something fabulous. There are also suggested recipes - the Pecan Pumpkin Pie was fantastic! I love the idea of having a pet-together with both dogs and people as guests. I know my dog would love the liver cake. And I know that I'd love some of the music suggested for some of the theme parties. Overall, "Plan a Party in No Time" was a very good buy and will be put to good use

This is the book that will help you plan it. It follows a great format with details on everything that could possibly be needed to plan and execute the best possible party. Ms.Love has a great writing style that's fun to read. She thinks of eveything and comes up with innovative party themes and suggestions.

I've never actually planned and executed a party as an adult, so I found her tips and suggestions very helpful. She pointed out a lot of things I didn't even think about, which could have resulted in a party disaster! Very helpful and fun book.

There are also a lot of good ideas for veteran party-givers who want to try something new, or in my case, learn to plan ahead and budget better. The writing is clear and relatable, and what I like the most is how the guide shows the difference between being informal and being thoughtless - the emphasis is on making sure your guests are comfortable, are having a good time and feel welcome.
