Funny & Insightful

This book is truly a delight. Through her self-deprecating humor and sharp take on those around her "Jane" takes us through a rocky time in her life to emerge so much wiser. I signed on here to try and find other works by Eve Horowitz and am disappointed to find there aren't any.

A Fantastic Book

This is a great book and there are two tragedies here-oe that it is out-of-print, and two that Horowitz has not written anything else. What a bright, funny, intellegent voice she has. The book is about that post high school period where you are not sure what you want to do. Which is why the narrator (the school valedictorian) takes a job in a psychiatrist's office, coincidentally the man she's in love with. And it's also about her parent's marriage falling apart, and her once-laidback sister becoming ultra-Orthodox. But mere words can't fo it justice.TRACK THIS BOOK DOWN THRU HARVESTSEARCH-YOU WONT E DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I checked this out at the library and could not leave it alone! Jane and her family so completely absorbed me that I found myself lost at the end.I want more and Ms.Horowitz can provide. The book is so full of wit and keen observations from a nineteen year old that you catch yourself laughing out loud and sometimes shouting out in righteous indignation. It is a wonderful read.Where is the sequel Ms.Horowitz?

I Love This Book!

I bought this book hoping it entertain me for a day or two. Surprisingly, I've read it several times! The main character is fresh, funny, and very real. Moreover, the ending left me wanting to know what happened to Jane and her family; it left me wanting more. During the course of the book, Jane becomes a real person with real life problems. Oy. Loved it!
