Growing up in a world where magic is quite common is harder than you would think. No one knows it more than Pitch, the protagonist of the story. With his father's advice stuck in his brain, Pitch hopes to navigate life properly, but temptations are the worst. At the tender age of 11, Pitch does something very innocent and makes up his own magic spell. He has no idea that what he is about to do will backfire. When the damage is done, he doesn't know what he is supposed to do next. He can accept his fate and move on, or he can start looking for a solution to get his life back to normal. But at this point, is it even possible?Perfectly bizarre and absurd, Pitch: The Adventures of Danger Rabbit by DeLawrenc Washington Jr. is magically simple and entertaining until the end. Pitch is a regular kid who dabbles in things that he should have stayed away from. However, it is admirable how he grows to understand the changes made to his life and moves on. Just like the story, Pitch's friendship with Wes is simple but powerful. While Pitch is the odd one out, they balance each other and support each other. The narrative runs smoothly, the plot has a steady pace, and the overall feel of the story is very calming and motivational. The ending is surprising yet very cathartic, to be honest. It is the kind of story that Kafka would be proud of
