GREAT BOOK w/ lots of creative fun

This book is loaded with lots of fun Pirate-themed creative fun. It would be great to have on hand if you want to give a birthday party in the pirate them. It teaches you how to make pirate hats and put together a piratc costume complete with eye-patch and cardboard sword to wear in your belt. Other things include a cardboard pirate-style pistol, a pirate ship constructed of cardboard, complete with sails, crew, and cannon, making a porthole picture, a catapult made of balsa wood and rubber bands (small plasticine or paper missiles and told not to fire at people or pets) w/ ships to fire at, ship in a bottle, pirate telescope and compass, a fishing game called Davy Jones's Locker (where you fish for mermaids, treasure, fish, other ocean things. Pirate treasure chest made of posterboard, a treasure map and how to have a treasure hunt. Also, a section on tying pirate knots. Lastly, a section of facts about pirates. It's great way to have fun with your child and think about the intrigue of pirate life.
