Awesome!

These books by the Kennedy siblings are the nicest books ever for kids! The illustrations are just beautiful -- I wish I could buy the artwork! And the stories are adictive -- my son loves them! I wish there were more of them!!

Great book to read to a toddler

My daughter (2 1/2) loves this book. When kids are 2 they like to explore all the different things a voice can do. Pirate Pete's funny way of talking and unusual vocabulary are fascinating to her. She wants to imitate what he says, so she walks around the house saying, "Walk the plank!" and "Blimey, you don't talk like a Pirate!" It is nice to see her really get involved in a story. I think the story is pretty fun to read too and the illustrations are great. You can make a different sound for each rascal as he falls into the water.

GREAT FOR PRE SCHOOL TEACHERS!

I designed an entire summer camp around this book. Take a look at the map. We made copies of it for each child to color and then laminated it as their snack placemat for each day. They go to a different island each day.

So funny!

Both my husband and I *love* reading this book to our four year old. So funny and cute, it will have you laughing out loud for sure! On my way to get the rest in the series . . .

Great Fun!

My daughter (3 1/2) thinks Pirate Pete is hilarious! She always wants to know why he talks so funny. In a backwards kind of way, I think this book actually does teach kids how important it is to speak properly. Although speaking pirate has its moments too.
