Eye opening and Interesting

This book is eye opening and very interesting historically speaking. As a historical resource it is excellent but I found myself wanting "more". The story of the wax doll stands out and was great to share with my little ones but they wanted more details. It was good to learn more about the famous and not so famous people whose journal excerpts were included. Perhaps some author insights, some side facts.... I guess I expected more of a uplifting sweet Christmas spirit- a feel good book instead of straight journal bits and pieces.
