My Daughter LOVED this book

My daughter loved all the funny adventures. This is a great beginning chapter book. She keeps asking for the next one!

My 5-year old loves this book!

My daughter received this book as a gift, and I initially thought she wouldn't be interested because she doesn't know how to read and the book is light on pictures. However, I read her the first chapter one evening and she was HOOKED. So we started a routine where we read one chapter a night (and the chapter concept is so great for little kids), and before starting, I would ask questions about what happened in the prior chapter. The book is written in a way that provides just enough information and illustrations to pique a child's interest -- but equally, to let their imagination run free so that they can visualize, on their own, what is happening in pinky and peanut's world. I am sure that if my daughter could read, she would have gravitated toward this book on her own. However, I would highly recommend it to parents who are looking to 'graduate' their children from easy-read picture books and on to a well-written and charming story that captivates the attention and introduces them to the world of more colorful prose, a slightly more complicated story line, and fewer - but still very well-done -- illustrations.

Fantastic Book

Im just looking forward to trouble times two, This book is very well written, keeps the reader wanting more. This book is very much needed for this age group, I believe a gap has been filled. keep them coming.

great children's book!

This book was so great! I love the characters. I am so excited to see where Pinky and Peanut venture off to next. The descriptions were exceptional and I found myself eager to explore their world. I can't wait for the next book. These authors know how to write a fantastic, age-appropriate children's book.

Friendship and Values in a Fun Book for Kids!

The authors have created a fun book for young children! The characters, Pinky and Peanut, are well developed in the story, and the illustrations really bring them to life. I can see children being drawn into the antics of the pair of friends, and getting involved in the unfolding story as the two girls go through life at home and at school. But, the best thing about the book is that the story is wholesome and emphasizes the importance of friendship - and that friendship takes work. Learning to say "I'm sorry" is part of the lesson for the two girls, and learning the lesson brings real rewards. There was a time when more children's books carried important moral messages. I'm glad that the two authors, both teachers, have found a way to capture the imagination of kids, tell a fun story, and teach - all at the same time. Parents with younger children should love this book! What's next for Pinky and Peanut? Michael S. Class Author Anthony and the Magic Picture Frame
