2 Corinthians 4:8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

What a story! I had a hard time putting this book down. Mr. Weber does a wonderful job with this biography ...... I felt like I was there witnessing the life of this amazing woman myself!! With the odds stacked against her from birth with a heart defect, Jeri Paholek did not let her circumstances prevent her from living a life full of passion. A life trusting and following the Lord. She is an inspiration and so are her earthly and heavenly family who showed what it means to love and care on an intimate level. I finished the book blessed and encouraged.

Inspiring!!!

When we first learned that an author from Jeri's church wanted to write a book about her life, we were overwhelmed with joy, honor and emotion! Our Jeri...now everyone could know about her faith and her determination to live and to serve Jesus!!! Many months later, when I first held the book in my hand, it was surreal....a book about my own daughter!!! It was an indescribable feeling! Each time I read the book, I am more blessed by and inspired by and grateful for Jeri and her affect on our lives and now the lives of many others who read the book! Like many others I have heard from, I could not put the book down when I got started reading it. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter! As Rick wrote, you will not look at life the same way after you read this book! I pray that each of you will be amazingly changed and blessed by Jeri's story!

Blessed be her name

Well, I just finished reading Pink Lips and Fingertips this morning about 1:00am. I thought I would be tired but I was so wide awake that I didn't fall asleep til well after 3am. I am a former member of Grace Fellowship UMC (I have since moved from the area), Jeri's church, so I knew her story. I don't think I ever actually met Jeri, but after the book I felt like I knew her---and I also realized what I had missed by not knowing her personally. I also didn't know the extent of her suffering and the extent to which she actually overcame life threatening obstacles, not once but over AND OVER. I was so proud to read about my former church, the people who did so much for Jeri and her family, and what the church actually meant to her. After I had finished the book, my mind was racing and I was really having a long talk with God about all kinds of things---the book really made me examine my own life and what I am, or rather am not, doing to glorify God in all that I do. I knew I would send Rick an email after I read the book (I also knew Rick from Grace and was so proud of his accomplishment) ---but I am a procrastinator and I figured the email would be written later rather than sooner---that's just how I do things. I got in my car this morning and guess what song was playing on KSBJ---you got it---Blessed Be Your Name(Jeri's song). I laughed---I felt Jeri was just reminding me to send Rick an email TODAY. This afternoon, I got back in my car, turned on the radio ---Jeri was sending me Blessed Be Your Name AGAIN! KSBJ doesn't usually play the same song twice within a 6 hour period, but they did today. I decided I better get an email written to Rick soon, before every other song on that station is Blessed Be Your Name. Jeri prompted me to overcome my procrastination and let Rick know just how inspired I was by his compelling book. Jeri is still glorifying God!!!

A great story

Rick Weber does a fabulous job of relating Jeri's story to the reader. It is a very uplifting story. Rick keeps the reader involved in the story to the very end. It is a book that you don't want to put down.

Pink lips and fingertips

This is a very moving and inspiring book to read. It has the potential to change many lives for the better. It makes you think about your own life and are you listening to Jesus. He has a purpose for all of us, even though we might not know what it is while we are carving out our footsteps on this earth . Let us hope this book motivates its readers to be better people in the Lords image. I think Pink Lips and Fingertips helps to answer the question why God lets bad things happen to good people. May Jeri's life story turn the non believers into believers.
