A graduate of the American Baptist College [Cum Laude], Tennessee State University, and George Peabody College for Teachers (Now a part of Vanderbilt University) all located in Nashville, Tennessee. He has pastored churches in Smyrna, /Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; Nassau Bahamas; Corpus Christi, Texas, and LaVergne, Tennessee. He is married to the former Donna Mary Stuart of the Bluff, Eleuthera, Bahamas and they are the parents of LaTonya Donnelle Wade [son-in-law: Danny Lamont Wade] and Wellington A. Johnson II. They also have two grandchildren: Dannyelle Faith Wade and Danny Jameson Wade.
