Journal Journey!

I have often heard of Pilgrim's Progress and wanted to read it. I like to journal and started reading the Journal Journey. I am very impressed and have a hard time putting it down. To start with, picking up a classic written in old English in modern Americas was a bit daunting, but not with this edition. The Journal Journey starts with the history of what was happing on that lead to John Bunyan writing the Pilgrims Progress. Every chapter starts with vocabulary and definitions. (Words often used then that we don't use now.) There is still the Old English words, but in modern type. (The old s/f are in modern font, so it is easier to read.) I love how Master Books has added the biblical references to the allegories for deeper diving, as well as summaries for what Bunyan was writing. There are also beautiful black and white illustrations to go along with many of the pictures Bunyan refers to. This book is great for a journaling reader, can be used as a devotional, or even a great step to a deeper Bible study. I highly recommend this book!
