Pikes Peak America's Mountain: 3 Volume Set

By Jack Denton

For nearly fifteen years, landscape painter Jack Denton set up his easel towards Pikes Peak and painted. The result is 300 oil paintings -- now collected in this stunning three-volume hardcover boxed set -- capturing America's Mountain through every season, every light, and every mood.

Each volume presents 100 full-page paintings accompanied by the artist's own notes, offering an intimate window into Denton's process and his deep connection to this iconic landmark. From the dusty sunshine of summer mornings to the nebulous fog of winter ridges, no two paintings are alike -- and no single subject has ever been rendered with this depth and devotion by a single artist.

As a boxed set, released in 2026, the year of America's 250th celebration, the series carries special significance as a tribute to the mountain that inspired Katherine Lee Bates to write America the Beautiful. Denton's work hangs in the Hunter Museum of American Art and in private collections worldwide. With 33 solo exhibitions since 1974 and a studio in Garden of the Gods at the mountain's base, he brings unparalleled authority to this subject.

A definitive collector's piece and the ultimate gift for lovers of Colorado, Western American art, and the enduring beauty of the American landscape.
