I loved this book and I think it appeals to both children and adults. The subtle "morals" of the stories are very relevent in our modern, impersonal world. The wordplay and contemporary language give added appeal to the two protagonists. When Pig and Bear find their friendship tested, they resolve their disagreements in realistic ways. I appreciate the fact that the book doesn't talk down to children. There were two stories that I found especially meaningful; one was about finding a peaceful place to go when you feel vulnerable and the second was about the value of face-to-face communication in comparison to using telephones. I highly recommend this book to people of all ages and I really enjoyed the writer's deft manipulation of the English language.
