This collection explores the role of listening and direct musical experience in learning and composition. It presents short, accessible pieces designed to demonstrate concepts that are difficult to convey through theory alone, including harmonization, melodic leaps, chromaticism, and stylistic characteristics. Drawing inspiration from the educational role of the radif in Iranian music, the collection uses musical examples to encourage learning through listening, performance, and analysis. It is intended primarily for intermediate students, as well as learners outside formal academic settings, and addresses the gap between basic instruction and advanced theoretical study. Rather than replacing systematic study and practice, these pieces aim to develop musical awareness, inform creative choices, and equip students to approach a wider repertoire with greater understanding.
