Excellent first book!

Pickle in the Middle is an exceptional first book. Ms. Braun writes with the skill expected of a much-experienced author. While the reader can relate to the real-life family squabbles Ms. Braun portrays, it is the love the family has for each other despite their disagreements that gives this story its strength. The conclusion brings comforting reassurance that each child has an important place in the family - even the pickle in the middle! Pickle in the Middle is sure to be a favorite book.
