Piano Duets: Romantic Composers (Piano Duets edited by Michael Aston)

After the volumes on baroque and classical composers, Piano Duets: Romantic Composers is the next instalment in this successful series. The collection includes new editions of celebrated works written for piano duet (by Brahms, Dvorak, and Schumann) and attractive new arrangements of orchestral and chamber pieces, including a piano quartet by Mendelssohn and an orchestral suite by Tchaikovsky. To complete its survey of the Romantic age, the collection features a piano study by Liszt and a nocturnal song-without-words by Fanny Mendelssohn. Providing varied, accessible, and attractive repertoire, this volume is ideal for duettists looking for recital material or for those exploring the medium.
