The text book focus on the taxonomy, phyco-remediation, biofilm quorum sensing, nano-synthesis and other biotechnological application aspects of freshwater algae isolated from polluted water. Two species of algae, Coelastrella sp and Oscillatoria tenuis has been isolated and the bio-potential of the algae has been studied on different aspects and found to be a potential bioremediator and another with high clinical value.
