A colorful introduction.

Do not look at this as a children's book. This is a good starting place for all. It is a simple introduction to physics. There is no real depth, so you will not get bogged down with too much detail. There is little technical jargon, so you will not have to spend much time with your nose in a dictionary. There are nice, simple diagrams that help short of a video presentation. Because this book focuses on physics, you will not get a bunch of metaphysical claptrap mixed up with how the world actually works. This book presents several anecdotes that put the physics you are going to read about in context; it is not just a dry physics book. Contents: Why? How? What? And Who? -- How Things Move and Fly and Soar -- The Magic of Magnetism -- The Strange Behavior of Liquids and Gases -- Heat and Cold: the World ...The Coldest in the World Sound: Noise or Music? Light: How We See and What We Don't See Electricity, The Mysterious and The Powerful The Small World of the Atom Maybe a tad dated. Release Date: January 1961.
