Physical and physiological characteristics of maize seeds

This book aims to increase the visibility of a monograph concluding an undergraduate course in Agronomy, which sought to analyse the physical and physiological quality of maize (Zea mays) seeds threshed manually and mechanically and harvested at different moisture levels. Assessments were made of mechanical damage, seed moisture, germination tests in the field and in the laboratory, final seedling stand, thousand-seed weight, and Tetrazolium test.
