Centuries ago, the Phoenix egg was the source of prosperity for all of China. The dragons were trusted friends of humans as well as being the protectors of the Phoenix. When the Phoenix was stolen, the land was thrown into turmoil. Chang and Shao-Ling, the last of the dragons, ventured off in search of the lost Phoenix. Their quest brought them to the far-off land of England. The dragons found no help from the humans of this strange new land. The humans saw the dragons as monsters to be feared and destroyed. Instead of helping the dragons recover the Phoenix, the people of this land became their greatest enemy.
