Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 1914 by three young African-American male students. The founders, Honorable A. Langston Taylor, Honorable Leonard F. Morse, and Honorable Charles I. Brown, wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. This deep conviction is mirrored in the Fraternity's motto, "Culture For Service and Service For Humanity". 2015 was an amazing year for the Beta Omicron Sigma Chapter. The new administration made the decision to make Beta Omicron Sigma a leading chapter among the entire fraternity. In order to do that, we had to revamp our programing and philanthropic endeavors. As a result of meticulous planning, Beta Omicron Sigma had a banner year. Our service hours, reach, community engagement, philanthropy, membership engagement and chapter revenue has seen a seismic shift.
