But can he ever truly forget his homeland? During on last visit to Thinis, he will discover what it really means to be a leader, and will find his destiny being fulfilled beyond his wildest expectations ...

Suspenseful and Informative

I really enjoyed this book. Many stories are set in ancient Egypt, but this one is different. It's a story set in the time before the pyramids were built, before the powerful pharoahs ruled the land, before ancient Egypt became what we picture it as today. French creates suspense well, and I really had a hard time putting this book down. I learned a lot about Egypt, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey I took with Narmer. I definitely recommend this book to readers of all ages.
