This example-oriented book/disk package designed to enable anyone to create Windows-based applications. The text aims to provide a complete, hands-on introduction to Visual Basic 2.0, including creation of dialogue boxes, menuing, debugging, and advanced data file handling.
This book has 761 pages of information in well organized form regarding Visual Basic Programming. It would not be a good resource for learning Visual Basic, but if you already know how to do Basic programming, this book will give you the tools to interface with an Operating System and all the basic protocols required to access certain system functions. Although the book is somewhat out of date (it is a 3.5 inch floppy filled with useful programs), I think you could get by with it and do some decent programming.
