I live near this restaurant, and after experiencing the divine Italian food, which is odd because I usually thing of italian as ho-hum, I had to purchase the book. Regular dishes become special. I don't understand how a person can rate this book, based on the fact that you got confused. How is that the books fault?

This is a great cookbook. As a frequent diner at Perricone's restaurant, I have often wondered-and asked-how some of his great dishes were made. Now I know. I have tried several of the recipes and they are easy to follow (and the pictures don't hurt either). The desserts, particularly the banana cake, are to die for. And the history of the restaurant and background on owner Steven Perricone also makes for interesting reading. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to prepare good meal for family, friends or just themselves.
