The study has great significance in the absence of similar studies pertaining to Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh State from the review of literature. This study is relevant particularly when the government is very keen on the promotion and development of this capital- sparing and labor-intensive sector. The present study is having great significance in the contemporary situation where the government is employing all its efforts through make India programme and mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and moving towards a faster and inclusive growth agenda. The present study helps the policy makers in formulation of certain policies in the light of changing conditions to extend timely and affordable assistance to Micro, small and medium entrepreneurs. The study forms a basis for future research as it addresses various issues. Thus, the study has got great relevance and significance in the present context.
