Can Nicki risk letting go of her well-ordered life plans and embrace what God has perfectly arranged? This description may be from another edition of this product.
Liana George is another new author for me. I loved her quirky sense of humor, and her writing style is simply excellent! Also, this is the beginning of a series, so there are more books about Nicki and China coming up soon!
Nicki Mayfield is devastated after her career as a self-employed professional organizer crashes and burns. She unsure of what to do next when a wealthy socialite and businesswoman Katherine O'Connor calls her with what may be her last organizing job.
Nicki decides to go for it and do her best to work around the woman's persnickety personality and eccentric ways. Though she seems brusque and curt on the outside, once Nicki gets to know her better she realizes sometimes there's a deeper reason on the inside that makes people push others away.
Can Nicki help Ms. O'Connor deal with the sorrow of her past and maybe get some insight to her own feelings of insecurity and not belonging?
To say the least, this story has some interesting plot twists and a change of fates theme.
It was clean save for one rude/awkward comment about a toddler's backside showing. (Turns out it was an odd Chinese pottytraining custom, but I find it indecent, even for a child what with child predators and all nowadays.)
Other than that, I loved it and can't wait for the next two books!
Thank you the author and Interviews & Reviews for a copy of this lovely book!
A positive review was not required, and the thoughts above are my very own.
