Conrad's story is superb in both content and style.

Often in religious books, the reader gets the feeling he's being manipulated or "evangelized." Not so in this one. Conrad's straightforward and humorous style just tells it like he sees and feels it. For instance, the man who had the greatest spiritual influence on Conrad once gave him both a theological book and a "pin-up" calendar for his birthday (Conrad was still deeply enmeshed in the porn industry at the time). I constantly found myself laughing at the turn of events in Conrad's life and felt the joy he experienced as he moved from a shallow, meaningless existence into one that has changed him forever. I have already bought extra copies of this book for others. It was a book I couldn't put down.

Great book about one man's journey through life.

I enjoyed this book. It is a great story of a physical journey through life and a spiritual journey that the author took through many unique steps in his life. I was planning to read it over the weekend and ended up finishing the book the first day. I have let a few friends borrow it, as long as they promise to return it.
