What a rollercoaster ride!

What a rollercoaster ride! I couldn't put the book down! As I sped through the last two chapters, I couldn't even catch my breath! For a mellow, retired ex-crisis manager, Gary Kimmerman sure has a penchant for getting involved in dangerous situations. Thanks to his quick mind, however, he seems to be always a step or two ahead of his cop friend in untangling the latest mystery. In PERFECT COVER, by E. J. Rand, the second in the reluctant sleuth series, Gary finds himself stalking the halls of the hospital where his bride, Becca, is a nurse, in order to prevent another of the attacks that have been terrorizing the late night hospital workers. The characters leap to life on the pages and the setting is dead on, creating an atmosphere that feels both authentic and creepy. The final pages unravel the complicated and murderous scheme that threatens not only the lives of certain hospital employees and patients, but Becca and Gary's as well. Gary's keen insight and courage prevail, no doubt to be drawn into another mystery. I can't wait for a sequel.
