Great book.

Perfect Challenge was a terrific book. It was well written and left you hanging at the end, like a lot of the books lately. I think the authors just want to build up your nerves for the Kentucky Derby.I loved this book, though it turned into a love story at some parts.The author kind of lost track of the essence of the series for a little bit, but she soon got it back.I'd recommend this book to many people.

Hey, it's a book, not real life

Im always surprised when readers get so huffy about these books. I mean, come on. Theyre stories, not true life. In real life neither Chris or Mel would be tough enough or experienced enough to be jockeys on their ways to the Derby, but let's face it--these books are for readers who love horses, and the real truth about racing is not pretty--it's very gritty. So if you want perfect race times etc-- read the newspapers!

If you are getting this book for your daughter, I think this'll be helpful: The book is basicly about Melanie trying to make Image ,the horse she jockys and trains, a Triple Crown winner. Image starts out an unrideable horse but Melanie doesn't give up and when she finally enters her in a race in Florida things start getting crazy! First the stable where Image is staying gets quarente and to top it off her father(part owner) has changed races, from the Bonnie Miss to the Florida Derby! Image HATES the race track and gets disruptive, so they kick her out! Jazz (part owner, and rock star) has Image stay at the place where they're staying. Good thing too, with Alexis hanging around the track trying to get Image in troble they can't take any chances! A good thing about the series is it's not just about Horses! Melanie can't help it she likes Jazz but she thinks with him being famous and atravtive girls following him all the time, doese she even have a chance? But she can't worry about that she has a race to win! I won't give away the ending though!

A Great Book!!!

Hi- I just finished the all new Thoughhbred book, #52!! It was great, i couldn't stop reading it!! It had a fantastic plot, and a amazing ending!! It's all about Melanie, preparing Perfect Image for the Bonnie Miss race in Florida. But when she gets there she discovers that her father entered Image into the Florida Derby, (a race that all the colts have entered ), because of his failing bussiness. Melanie has to go through alot, like not being able to find a stable to board Image at, Jazz Taylor (Melanies crush), and the hatred of the Florida people. Overall, Thoroughbred #52 was great and was hard to stop reading!! Read it now!!!
