* this book is very similar to the Cheerios Playbook -- it's an interactive board book, in the shape of a goldfish bowl, that encourages a child to place P. Farm goldfish crackers in little die cut... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My almost 2 1/2 month old toddler loved this book, I surprised him with it on a cross country plane trip! It occupied his attention for about 20 minutes and it was a fun way for him to enjoy his snack. An added bonus, once he added the goldfish to the divets on each page, he would count the fishes. :) He now runs and grabs this book whenever I announce fishy cracker snack time! The book itself is about 10 pages of fishbowls with varies marine life in each scene. You put the goldfish crackers in the little divets. Cons: Unlike the cheerios books, the crackers don't 'complete' the scene really... meaning, in our cheerios book, you see 2 monkey's juggling cheerios and the last monkey is juggling nothing, so the cheerios you add completes the scene. My kid got a kick from the fact that the monkey he decorated looked just like the other ones. In this book, the crackers add to the scene, but its a fully realized scene without them. Pros: The pictures in this book are somewhat photo realistic, very detailed and very colorful, so its fun for my toddler to look through even without crackers. The cheerios book images are very simple in comparison, black outlined illustrations, though colorful.
It is full of fun and colors.
