Dubbed The Great American Hope, Olympic hopeful Karie Johnson learns that to rise above failure she must have what a coach calls pepper in the blood...the will to keep going even though she's burning... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This novel tells a stroy of Karie Johnson and her talents in running. It shows some of the shady side of sports, ie use of enhancers and what it can do to an athlete. Extremely easy to read and would be enjoyed by non-runners as well. A definite pleasant surprise.
I couldn't put it down!
