This book aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the emerging concept, practice, and evidence for People-Centered Integrated Primary Healthcare (PCIPHC) in Asia. The book is organized into three parts. Part I introduces the concept framework of PCIPHC and highlights the similarities and differences between PCIPHC and relevant concepts, and emphasizes the added value of PCIPHC.

Part II presents case studies of PCIPHC development in selected regions in China. Many policies were developed to move forward with the integration of healthcare services across different levels of care in order to move away from hospital-centric care model and downward healthcare services to the primary healthcare level. The successful experiences and challenges implementing these systems and policies have not been summarized well especially in the English-language literature. This book collected a variety of cases from across

China to fill this gap.

Part III presents additional case studies of PCIPHC from selected Asian countries and beyond that are rarely captured in the global healthcare delivery literature.
