Poetry has always served as a "release". Before becoming a Christian in the spring of 2005, I wrestled with intense depression, suffocating darkness, and suicidal tendencies. During that time poetry gave me a release, a way to express myself without physically hurting myself. After becoming a Christian God healed me of my depression and gave me new meaning to live. Since that time poetry has continued to be a vital form of expression. The pen remains one of my dearest friends. By the help of God I trust these poems written through times of spiritual drought, and in the midst of spiritual onslaught will prove the power of Jesus Christ to ALWAYS COME THROUGH.
