Are you ready for a good laugh? What do you do when your heart hurts or when you feel like a good cry? Once you open the book, you will be introduced to a collection of works that speak from my heart to yours. Open, honest, and sometimes in your face poems and prose. Some will make you rethink your view on life. Some will cause to reconsider your past. Some may bring tears to your eyes. And, some will cause you laugh.

This is Volume One of my Pen & Ink series. This book comprises poems and prose that are from the years 2020 through 2024. They are not all I wrote in that time period. They are just what I compiled when editing this collection for print.

The book encompasses a wide range of topics. You never know what you will find on the next page. Will what's there make you laugh, cry, reflect on your life, or consider your future? Only you will know.

Over the last fifty-plus years, I have a developed a strong relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There are many times God has saved my life, shown me things to come, blessed my family, prospered us, and kept us healthy. God has always taken care of us and He always will. Most of these writings come from that relationship I hold so dear.

My hope is you will find comfort in what I have written. If a particular work is especially comforting, I encourage you to make it personal. Read it aloud as if you wrote it for yourself. Most of all, enjoy the time you spend with me as you go through my book. Thank you for taking the time to read my work.
