This is the kind of book I would love to write. It has all aspects of the human soul. The protagonist leaves his "sense of self" to explore his new roles in this new life. His wife went slowly mad. Too much space, too much sky. She resents that Per Hansa brought her here. Wild Indians, feirce winters and lonely isolation. I hated for this master piece to end. Yet I read from beginning to end in 1.6 days. The ending is like life. a sacrifice that must be paid in blood.
