Pearls of Wisdom For Girls by Girls

By: Inc., Girls Inspired & Ready to Lead,

Today, girls face challenges of peer pressure, low self-esteem, and lack of vision for the future, but the voices of the young writers in Pearls of Wisdom for Girls by Girls are not overwhelmed by these challenges. They convey self-confidence, self-acceptance, and dreams for the future. In the book, girls who have participated in the programs presented by Girls Inspired and Ready to Lead, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing today's girls for tomorrow, share a "pearl of wisdom." Through their writing, some a poem, some a letter, or others a story, the girls express their dreams for the future, paths to achieving those dreams, and confidence in themselves and their future. The book also includes writings by several professional women who advise girls on topics relevant to the empowerment of girls, such as teen entrepreneurship, leadership, STEM education, and friendships. At the end of each chapter are pages where young readers can use their creativity to express their ideas related to the chapter's topic. Hopefully, girls who read the words in the book will be inspired by their peers to confidently confront the challenges facing them.
