I wrote most of these poems in my teenage years or as I like to refer to them 'the wilderness years', when everything was new and I felt incredibly fragile. I wrote to document the precious madness specific to teenage life, the bittersweet freedom that you feel as you're living it and you know you'll never quite experience it again.
