The Peace of Mind Core Curriculum for ages 2-5 includes a series of engaging 20-minute mindfulness-based SEL lessons that can be used daily or weekly with the youngest learners. Thirty experiential play-based lessons equip young children to recognize feelings in their bodies, practice mindfulness to navigate big emotions, learn empathy and compassion, build healthy relationships, and express emotions in American Sign Language. Each lesson begins with preparation tips for grown-ups and includes weekly integration activities in sensory play, nature exploration, and art immersion, along with suggestions for community connections. After every three lessons, you'll find a comprehensive set of adaptations to support all learners.
