Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness... (Matthew 6:33)
First priority Seek the kingdom of God. The King has dominion or authority over the hearts of people who are surrendering to Him. And seek God's righteousness. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
Righteousness is a mysterious religious sounding word. Yet it is the essence of the kingdom, a gift from God to you. The words righteousness and righteous appear 540 times in the Bible. We will unpack it in Chapter Three.
