Worthwhile Reading!

I first read this book while I was in college. The Vietnam War was just winding down.I picked it up again, shortly after 9-11. These essays are timeless and are well worth reading in time of war or time of peace. Among the writers collected here: Adin Ballou, Daniel Berrigan, Cesar Chavez, William Sloane Coffin, Dorothy Day, George Fox, Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham J. Heschel, Hermann Hesse, Victor Hugo, Martin Luther King Jr., William Penn, Leo Tolstoy -- and my favorite, a prayer by Mark Twain.
