Excellent book for a beginner

I got this book from my local library before I got my camera. It was incredibly helpful in many areas. I used the information to pick which dSLR camera to get. Then I used it to help me pick which lens to buy to go with my kit lens. Now I am using it to learn more about how to take good pictures. This book is a wealth of information! Now I just have to decide if I want to shell out the money for it when I can keep getting it from the library. One thing that I like about this book is that it doesn't try and persuade you towards one brand or a another. Some books are very obviously pro-this or pro-that, and it is hard to get a non-biased opinion. I felt that this book was pretty neutral in that sense.

Great for for someone stepping into D-SLR world

It is a great book for someone considering or just bought a new digital SLR. Besides the basics and theories, it also tell us what kind of "gadgets" we need to get for our cameras.
