An extremely compelling story

This book is definitely worth reading. The story line is easy to follow and compelling to continue. The characters are extremely well developed and draw you into the book. I especially enjoyed the "flashback" method of telling this story. At a time when the moral fiber of our society is eroding, it is refreshing to read a book that truly depicts the sometimes-difficult journey to becoming the people that we are. This book shows how despite adversity, each of us has the opportunity to develop into a caring, sensitive human being. This is the type of book that would be worthy of a book club discussion or a psychology class as the moral and ethical implications of the main character's actions are far-reaching and complex.

The solution to racism

This is a work of literature that deserves a wide audience. It does not just talk about life, and how we develop the patterns that affect ourselves and society, but discusses how to cure them.It is written in a flashback form, taking us over several generations. It is a "Once you pick it up you can't put it down" book. Buy it.
